Carpet Care Between Cleanings
What carpet cleaning process do you use?
Guarantee System uses a two-step carpet cleaning process that includes pre-scrubbing and extraction processes, and which provides superior effectiveness for stain removal and in high-traffic areas.
Our neutral cleaner base deodorizes, and leaves no residue, so you don't have to worry about lingering odors or our product causing easy re-soiling of the carpeting.
Once the carpet cleaning is completed, the technician uses a specially designed brush to raise the nap, revitalizing the fibers of the carpeting.(Back to Top)
Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?
Guarantee System asks that you move your small items, including all breakables. We will move all of the heavy furniture for you - at no additional cost, and all furniture remaining in the room will have plastic tabs or blocks placed beneath the legs.(Back to Top)
Will my carpet re-soil more quickly after cleaning?
No, your carpeting will not re-soil more quickly with the cleaning process offered by Guarantee System.
Quick re-soiling is caused by residues that are left in the carpet after both the steam and shampooing methods of cleaning. The residue grabs the soil that is walked on to the carpet, and will not release it during vacuuming, therefore the spots can turn very dark.
Because Guarantee System's process is residue free, this problem will not occur after we clean your carpets.(Back to Top)
What do you do about spots and high-traffic areas?
Guarantee System automatically pretreats any specific spots as well as the traffic areas - at no additional cost to you.(Back to Top)
Is this stain permanent?
Nearly all stains can be removed. If you do have a stain that is permanent, Guarantee System can correct the problem through spot dyeing or carpet repair.(Back to Top)
I have an odor in my carpeting. Can you get rid of it?
There are many levels of odor problems, and we have an answer for each of them. At the simplest level, we will add an anti-microbial deodorizer directly to the cleaning solution, which will handle any odors that are in the carpet fibers themselves.
At the most extreme level, Guarantee System's technicians will take up the carpet and remove the pad. We will then sanitize and seal the hard floor, replace the pad, and clean and deodorize both sides of the carpet before reinstalling it.(Back to Top)
I have had water leaks, which have dried and stained my carpet brown. What can you do?
The discoloration that you see is caused by minerals that are a natural part of water, and with a special treatment, water staining can normally be removed completely.(Back to Top)
My carpet is puckered. Can you help?
Puckering is caused by one of two problems:
The first is that the carpet was not properly installed. This is easily corrected by having your Guarantee System technician reinstall the carpet.
The second reason delamination, which is a product of wear, and is caused by the backing of the carpet separating from the fiber layer. Unfortunately, this is a situation that cannot be corrected.(Back to Top)
How should I maintain my carpet between professional cleanings?
Frequent vacuuming is the best thing that you can do for your carpet. 90% of all soils can be lifted with your vacuum if done every 1-2 days.

What is Dupont Teflon, and why should I have it applied after my carpets are cleaned?
Dupont Teflon is a protective finish applied over your carpet after cleaning. Dupont Teflon forms an invisible shield on the carpet which helps keep dirt from lodging itself within the carpet fibers.
Less soil clings to a carpet treated with Dupont Teflon, and vacuuming removes more soil from a protected carpet than from one that has not been treated.
Frequent vacuuming will prevent dirt from becoming embedded beneath the surface, so the Teflon treatment can help carpets retain their beauty longer.(Back to Top)
