Suicide

Suicide rates continue to increase. On average, a suicide occurs every 40 seconds.

The loss of a family member by suicide can be detrimental to a family. It leaves behind a trail of damage, both emotionally and physically. Unfortunately, the task of cleaning the property couldn’t come at a worse time.

During our initial contact, we are often asked the following three questions:

What is the cost of services?

Many homeowners are unaware that the cost is typically covered by homeowners insurance. Our team is very familiar with the insurance claim process. We work side by side with your insurance adjuster; from the initial cleanup, to the finalized settlement by your adjuster. Furthermore, our pricing structure is derived from the same software as your insurance company- Xactimate. For this reason, our referrals commonly come from insurance professionals.

For victims with no insurance, we offer price discounts. We understand the financial burdens of grieving families. Funeral costs, travel expenses for relatives, estate management… all of these create an unexpected financial burden. Our goal is to minimize the cost of our services.

What does the cleaning process consist of?

We utilize a three step process:

  • Cleaning and removal of affected materials
  • Disinfection of biological contamination
  • Deodorization

All of our procedures are in compliance with OSHA, the CDC, and the EPA.

Is this a ‘Do-it-Yourself’ project?

We absolutely recommend hiring a remediation company.

The process of cleaning blood is unexpectedly complex. Traditional cleaning methods are not sufficient for proper sanitation. Aside from the obvious exposure to unknown infectious disease, the blood often permeates deep into the building structure. It travels under baseboards, behind drywall, and into the subfloor.

Furthermore, without independent certification that the property has been properly remediated, the property owner can suffer consequences. Local ordinances often require standards of remediation, and potential buyers of the proper may be deterred from purchasing the property, knowing that the property may still be contaminated.

CERTIFICATE OF REMEDIATION
Upon completion, we issue an officially executed Certificate of Remediation. This document serves as assurance to the owner that the property has remediated of all contamination. This document also fulfills all local ordinances, and clears the property of any potential real estate sale deterrence.

Unattended Death

Death is absolute. Unfortunately, it’s often unexpected.

Often times, when an individual passes away, they are alone. As a result, it can take days, even weeks before the event is known. This scenario is what is referred to as an “unattended death”.

After a body has deceased, the natural process of decomposition begins immediately. During this time, the body releases blood, odor, fluids, and harmful bacteria into the air. This process should not be viewed as unusual, nor is it unexpected. Rather, God created this process as a normal part of the life cycle.

Unfortunately for friends and family, the process is still traumatizing. Our goal is to comfort and relieve the survivors of this hardship. We accomplish this through quick and exhaustive sanitation of the contaminated property.

We absolutely recommend hiring a remediation company. Traditional cleaning methods are not sufficient to sanitize a decomposed body. Body fluids and odor will permeate porous materials. These porous materials include carpet, subfloor, wood, and even concrete. In addition, bloodborne pathogens will be present. For this reason, precaution must be taken when handling contaminated materials.

Assault and Homicide

An act of violence is terrifying. Unfortunately, violence in homes and businesses is becoming commonplace. Aside from the pain of the victim, there also exists the collateral damage of family, friends, and property.

Both homicide and assault can result in horrendous property damage- damage which no survivor should have to see. Both psychologically and emotionally, an individual can be damaged for the remainder of their life.

Aside from blood and biological fluids, there often exists additional contamination created as a result of the investigation by law enforcement. This includes fingerprint dust, chemicals, and tear gas.

Our goal is to comfort victims in this time of hardship. We hope to restore your property as quickly as possible.
